Best Pro Footbal Game Ever.

You know you're not young anymore when your hero as a small child is now an old man. Joe Namath?

I'm gonna argue that the Pittsberg New England game is the best in the history of the NFL. It has become a downer in the end, the Patriots clinched their victory with about 4 minutes to go. Yet I loved the emotion of this game, the Steelers went to the locker room during half-time well behind the Pats, and the coach said "lets not curl up in our shells and call this a game." So they came back from the break and broke out, and for at least 3 times they had a fighting chance to win. The crowd was smart and dedicated. But best of all I liked that they played like the Steelers of old, not fast and fancy but powerful and steady.

And the Patriots played brilliant gentlemen's football. I never once saw them through a dirty tackle or talk shit to the other team. Steady and resolved, they cleared their heads after every setback. I saw a genius improvised play that Brady called right at the snap, disoriented the Steelers and gave the Pats one of their early touchdowns.

Note to self: buy a copy of this game from the NFL.
